Senior Project Manager, LEED AP BD+C
Virgil Hood is a professional with more than twenty years of construction management experience with commercial, Federal and Defense government contracts. He maintains certification in the advanced level of green building knowledge; Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) practices for building design and construction. Mr. Hood has additional training and certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) concepts, First Aid and CPR. He excels in value engineering and the essentials of superior project management. He directs and supervises the overall activities of employees in a variety of trade and custodial capacities through subordinate trade supervisors or contractor operations. He manages in-house and field personnel for each project and advises on matters regarding LEED criteria and compliance. Other responsibilities include: solicitations and bid packages, purchasing, subcontract administration, safety, quality control and record documents. He ensures successful delivery of quality projects on time and within budget.
Mr. Hood has excellent communication skills and manages each project as a team effort. He is a graduate of Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
